Telehealth & Tele-advice
Telehealth is veterinary care delivered remotely using technology to support, monitor, and guide a pet’s health when an in-person visit is not necessary or not immediately possible
Based on the laws in Iowa I can diagnose and treat pets that I have seen in the past year. This is helpful for my clients who have concerns that need addressed for their pets when they are not able to have their pets seen quickly based on their schedules.
I can also help owners with pets that I have not seen. This is considered ‘tele-advise’. I can make basic suggestions on how they can best help their pets, but I can not prescribe medications or diagnose medical issues. There is a lot I can do to help – especially when I am asked for a second + opinion for chronic medical conditions. I can also help with nutrition counseling and basic recommendations for medical concerns.
